ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis and refers to a treatment based on scientific principles that has been identified worldwide as one of the most effective forms of intervention with individuals diagnosed with autism (ASD). This area of knowledge is focused on the analysis, explanation and association between environment, human behavior, development and learning. Once the behavior is analyzed, an action/intervention plan is developed to modify behaviors and progress with the individual on the developmental scale.
